Upward 2025: A Framework for Prosperity is the result of an ongoing collaborative planning process involving broad representation from private, public, and nonprofit participants from Region 1b. This region is located in the central Upper Peninsula which is comprised of Alger, Marquette, Menominee, Delta, Dickinson, and Schoolcraft counties. This process was funded by the State of Michigan’s Department of Technology, Management, and Budget as part of Governor Rick Snyder’s Regional Prosperity Initiative (RPI). The purpose of the initiative is to foster a common vision for the future the region and to identify clear steps and partners in achieving a more prosperous tomorrow.
